In an article by the author, October 2016, regarding the US presidential elections (title: US elections, the struggle for Jewish votes and the support of AIPAC), we referred to the candidates' efforts to secure support from the powerful American-Jewish lobby, as it constitutes a crucial and essential factor in victory.
Candidate Donald Trump's "offer" was, in our opinion, the best, because as the Trump campaign's announcement said after the tycoon's meeting with the Israeli prime minister: "Trump recognized that Jerusalem has been the eternal capital of the Jewish people for more than 3.000 years and that the United States, under the Trump administration, will finally accept the authorization given long ago by Congress to recognize Jerusalem as the undivided capital of the State of Israel," which targeted and succeeded at the heart of the Jewish national concept.
