THE RIGHT WAY. NETANYAHU'S APOLOGY AND IMPACTS
On the last day of Barack Obama's visit to Israel, the unexpected happened. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, at Ben Gurion Airport, spoke by phone and apologized to Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan for the death of nine Turkish citizens in May 2010, by the military operation of Israeli commandos, on the MAVI MARMARA ship, which was heading at the head of a flotilla to Gaza, with the aim of "breaking" the blockade, under the pretext of humanitarian aid. This action by Netanyahu caused a lot of comments internationally, but also within Greece and of course within Israel. In Greece in particular, "authoritative" analysts exaggerated themselves in danger scenarios and ominous assessments for the future of Greek-Israeli relations...
