at the Hellenic Institute for Strategic Studies (EL.I.S.M.E.)

The purpose of EL.I.S.M.E. is the uncompromising and reliable articulation of public discourse on issues of national interest in geopolitics (geostrategy, geoeconomics), international relations and foreign policy, defense, security and power relations, as well as internal issues of national scope with the aim of providing advisory contributions to the fulfillment of the respective National Interests.
Within the framework of the above purpose, EL.I.S.M.E., among other things, carries out research work in the form of studies, extensive papers and any other relevant form of work, in order to study in depth issues that directly or indirectly affect our National Interests.
The Institute accepts voluntary cooperation and encourages research on behalf of non-members such as researchers, analysts, columnists, undergraduate and postgraduate students, active citizens, etc. It is considered that undertaking a research project by external collaborators with the assistance and supervision of EL.I.S.M.E. brings mutual benefits, since the Institute expands and accelerates its research and analysis in areas of interest while the researchers acquire relevant experience, relevant to their studies, have the opportunity to publish a paper and add a remarkable effort to their CV, which is confirmed by the granting of a relevant certificate.
With the belief that this research institution creates a significant pool of productive thought, the Institute encourages prospective researchers of the aforementioned categories to contribute to the research work, by undertaking and writing, without pay, articles, studies, analyses and papers. The Institute is committed to the promotion, posting on its website and publication in the journal it publishes of their work, as well as granting relevant certificates, if requested.
For interested candidate researchers, the Institute has hundreds of topics of interest to choose from. In addition, there is the possibility of co-developing additional research topics of common interest. Indicative areas of research interest of the Institute are as follows:
