2016-03-28. "The time for resistance has come! Allies, gather together!"

Shocking speech by the Hungarian Prime Minister:
"Our enemy is the fanatical internationalism of Brussels. Their plan is the flood of immigrants. They want to mix us up, eliminate everything national, create the United States of Europe and make us slaves"
Speech by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on March 15, 2016,
on the occasion of the celebration of the 168th anniversary of the struggle for Independence against the Habsburgs (1848–49):
The fate of the Hungarians has become intertwined with that of the nations of Europe and has evolved to be so much a part of the Union that today there is not a single people – including the Hungarian people – who can be free if Europe is not free.
And today Europe is as fragile, weak and feeble as "a flower eaten by a hidden worm."
Today, 168 years after the great wars of Independence of the European peoples, Europe, our common home, is not free!
Ladies and gentlemen, Europe is not free. Because freedom begins with telling the truth. Today in Europe, it is forbidden to tell the truth. Even if it is made of silk, a gag is a gag.
It is forbidden to say that those arriving are not refugees, but that Europe is threatened by immigration.
It is forbidden to say that tens of millions are ready to come here. It is forbidden to say that immigration brings crime and terrorism to our countries.
It is forbidden to point out that the masses arriving from other cultures endanger our way of life, our culture, our customs, and our Christian traditions.
It is forbidden to point out that those who arrived earlier have already created their own new, separate world for themselves, with its own laws and ideals, separate from the millennial structures of Europe.
It is forbidden to point out that this is not a random and unintended chain of consequences, but a pre-planned and orchestrated operation. Masses of people heading towards us.
It is forbidden to say that in Brussels they are devising systems to transport foreigners here as quickly as possible and settle here among us.
It is forbidden to point out that the purpose of settling people here is to reshape the religious and cultural landscape of Europe, and re-create its ethnic foundations – thus eliminating the last barrier to internationalism: nation-states.
It is forbidden to say that Brussels is now insidiously devouring more and more slices of our national sovereignty, and in Brussels many are now making plans for the United States of Europe – something for which no one ever gave them permission.
Ladies and gentlemen, today's enemies of freedom are of a different stock than the royal and imperial rulers of old, or those who ruled under the Soviet system. They use a different set of tools to force us into submission.
Today they don't imprison us, they don't transport us to concentration camps, and they don't send tanks to occupy countries that are loyal to freedom.
Today, the bombardment of international media, the denunciations, the threats and the blackmail are enough.
The peoples of Europe are slowly awakening, regrouping and will soon regain ground. The peoples of Europe may have finally understood that their future is at stake: Now it is not only their prosperity, their good lives, their jobs that are at stake, but our very security and the peaceful order of our lives are threatened.
At last, the peoples of Europe, who slept in abundance and prosperity, have understood that the principles of life on which Europe has been built are in mortal danger. Europe is the community of Christian, free and independent nations, of equality of men and women, of fair competition and solidarity, of pride and humility, of justice and mercy.
This time the danger does not attack us as it does with wars and natural disasters, suddenly pulling the rug out from under our feet. Mass migration is a slow flow of water that persistently erodes the shores. It is disguised as a humanitarian cause, but its true nature is the occupation of territories. And the territory gained for them is lost by us. Herds of obsessive human rights defenders are driven by a strong desire to rebuke and denounce us. According to their claims, we are hostile xenophobes, but the truth is, the history of our nation is both a history of integration and a history of the coupling of cultures.
Those who have tried to come here as new family members, as allies, or as displaced people fearing for their lives have been accepted to make a new home here. But those who have come here with the intent to change our country, to shape our nation in their own image, those who have come by force and against our will – always find resistance.
Ladies and Gentlemen, at first they talk about only a few hundred, a thousand or two thousand people who will be relocated. But not a single responsible European leader would dare to swear that these two thousand will not become ten or two hundred thousand. If we want this mass migration to stop, Brussels must first be restrained. The main danger to the future of Europe does not come from those who want to come here, but from the fanatical internationalism of Brussels.
We must not allow Brussels to place itself above the law.
We will not allow them to impose the bitter fruit of their cosmopolitan immigration policy on us.
We must not import crime, terrorism, homophobia, and synagogue-burning anti-Semitism into Hungary.
There should be no urban areas untouched by the law, no mass riots. No immigrant uprisings.
And there should be no gangs hunting our women and daughters.
We will not allow others to tell us who we will let into our homes and our country, who we will live with, and who we will share our country with. We know where this is going. First we allow them to tell us who we should accept, then they will force us to serve the foreigners in our country. In the end we will find ourselves being told to pack up and leave our own country. That is why we reject the forced resettlement program, and we will tolerate neither blackmail nor threats.
The time has come for the warning bell to ring.
The time has come for opposition and resistance.
The time has come for our allies to come together.
The time has come to raise the flag of proud nations.
The time has come to prevent the destruction of Europe, and to save Europe's future.
To this end, regardless of party affiliation, we call on every citizen of Hungary to unite, and we call on every European nation to unite. The leaders and citizens of Europe must no longer live in two different worlds. We must restore the unity of Europe. We, the peoples of Europe, cannot be free individually unless we are free together. If we join forces, we will succeed. If we pull in different directions, we will fail. United we are strong, divided we are weak. Together, or nothing – that is the law today.
For the Hungarians, in 1848 the book of fate said that nothing could be done against the Habsburg Empire. If we had given up then there would have been no result, our fate would have been sealed, and the German sea would have swallowed the Hungarians.
In 1956, the book of fate said that we were to remain an occupied and Sovietized country, until patriotism was extinguished from the last Hungarian. If we had given up then, there would have been no result, and our fate would have been sealed, and the Soviet sea would have swallowed the Hungarians.
Today it is written in the book of fate that hidden, impersonal world powers will eliminate everything that is unique, autonomous, ancient and national. They want to mix cultures, religions and populations, until our multifaceted and proud Europe will finally become anemic and obedient. And if we give up now, our fate will be sealed, we will be defeated and we will end up in the vast belly of the United States of Europe. The task that awaits the Hungarian people, the nations of Central Europe and the other European nations that have not yet lost their common sense is to defeat, rewrite and change the fate destined for us.
We, the Hungarians and the Poles, know how to do this. We have been taught that one can face danger only by being brave. Therefore, we must retrieve the ancient virtue of courage from the mire of oblivion. First of all, we must put steel in our spines, and we must answer clearly, with a voice loud enough to be heard as far as possible, the main, the most important question that determines our fate: The question on which the future of Europe depends: "Will we be slaves or free - that is the question. You give the answer!"
