[2] This is not the first time that advertising has caused a stir. In the past, “United Colors of Benetton” had caused a stir. The combination of traditional advertising and new public relations practices is not always successful and often evades the goal of advertising. Advertising is not art, it does not cultivate the “beautiful”, nor is it a way of social reflection, nor does it address the public’s consciousness. It is a business practice of promoting products and increasing profits. Nothing more than that. And something more. The subject chooses the moment to engage with art, when he is spiritually and psychologically ready for it. Advertising, on the contrary, is “imposed”, because, by decision of others, it interferes with completely irrelevant programs, when the subject neither wants nor can engage with the reflection that art offers him. We cannot of course ban advertising, since this is, in the final analysis, the reason why we are offered (any) television entertainment (from private channels at least). But let it also respect our "peace" in turn - we endure it, otherwise what would the powerless do, but patience has limits, which if exceeded, advertising becomes a provocation (AKK).
