Lately, a lot has been written and heard to a worrying extent about the minorities of Greek Thrace and in particular about Ankara's efforts, through its consulate in Komotini, taking advantage of the inaction of the Greek authorities, to Turkify the Pomak minority and others, who number around 40.000 residents.
