2014-05-30. NATIONAL CRIME IN THRACE
In the European elections of May 25, the minority Turkish party, according to its statute, "Equality, Peace & Friendship" (DEP-KIEF) emerged first in the Prefectures of Rhodope (41,68%) and Xanthi (25,39%), while in the entire Eastern Macedonia-Thrace Region it came third with a percentage of 12,23%.
The following are responsible for this result:
– The state which, through its ill-advised choices over time, integrated the Pomaks and Roma with those of Turkish descent, while today it has withdrawn, due to the economic crisis, from the region and has left the Turkish Consulate in Komotini free to carry out anti-Greek propaganda with the help of Turkish agents and pseudo-muftis.
– All the parties that, for vote-hunting reasons, give land and water to the Consulate, which in this way has acquired many privileges, through which it leads the entire Muslim minority and not just those of Turkish descent.
– Local and social bodies, why were they not mobilized, as they should have been, in order to inform the Christian population about the danger that would arise from their possible abstention, which exceeded 45%, while that of Muslims was very small.
This formation was created by Turkey to be the spearhead of anti-Greek propaganda, which aims to destabilize Thrace, but also as a powerful bargaining chip in the hands of the Consulate, in order to achieve concessions from the Greek parties in exchange for votes.
The national duty requires to address the risk:
– The formulation of a national policy with the participation of all parties, which should be implemented by all. The economic crisis should not affect the functioning of the state in Thrace.
– The abolition of the Turkish Consulate in Komotini or at least its weakening by cutting the umbilical cord from all state and local government bodies, parties and local party organizations, which sometimes operate autonomously.
– The participation in the national effort of all local and social bodies, the University of Thrace, but also of the entire Christian population, who should be appropriately informed.
