On Thursday, February 25, 2016, elections were held for the appointment of a new Board of Directors of the Hellenic Institute for Strategic Studies (EL.I.S.M.E.). On March 2, 2016, the new Board of Directors was formed, in accordance with the statute, in a body, which is as follows:

President: Vasilios Martzoukos, Vice Admiral (retd.) of the Hellenic Navy.
Vice President: Anastasios Basaras, Colonel (retd.)
General secretary: Savvas Argouzis, Brigadier General (retd.)
Treasurer: Achilleas Sarantinos, Major General (retd.)
Director of Studies: Hippocrates Daskalakis, Major General (retd.)
Publications Manager: Konstantinos Argyropoulos, Major General (retd.)
Public Relations Manager: Georgios Doudoumis, Economist
