THE DODECANESE ISLANDS IN ETHNEGERSIA

 

Ο Association of the Dodecanese Youth is organizing a series of 7 online lectures entitled “The Dodecanese in the National Uprising”, on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the Revolution of 1821 and with the aim of highlighting the contribution of the Dodecanese to the Greek Revolution. 

 

14 distinguished personalities of Letters are the speakers of our lectures, which take place every Sunday, up to and including 23 May 2021 (except Easter Sunday), hours 17:00-19:00 and are broadcast live via the platform Zoom, of his channel SDRN on Youtube and the SADN page on Facebook.

 

The 3th day of the series of online events with the general title 
“The importance of the naval struggle and the Holocaust of Kasos” organized by Apantachos Dodecanese Youth Association, under its auspices General Secretariat of Hellenes Abroad and Public Diplomacy, will be held on Sunday April 18 2021.

At 17:00 you can watch live via platform ZOOM (https: //us02website.zoom meeting.us/j/82042937150) and alternatively in live,streaming via Facebook (Apantachos Dodecanese Youth Association) and YouTube (https://youtu.be/YUf5OFtOqPg) the conference entitled: The importance of the naval struggle and the Holocaust of Kasos

At our 3th online conference, we have the pleasure and honor of having two excellent speakers with us.

 

Speakers of the 3th online event:

- Senior Lecturer Vasilios Martzoukos, Honorary Commandant of the Naval Cadet School, Vice President of the Hellenic Institute for Strategic Studies
Topic: “The contribution of the navy and the importance of the naval struggle in the Revolution”.

- Mr. Minas Vidiadis, Journalist - Author

Topic: “The Holocaust of Kasos”.

[The third scheduled talk of the day, entitled “The Geostrategic Position of the Dodecanese Islands”, with speaker Dr. Grivas Konstantinos, was moved to our 7th online conference.]

At the end of the speeches questions from the audience will follow and official greetings. Recommended – estimated time for each question 1′ and each greeting 3′.

We will be happy to have you with us so that together we can appreciate the value and contribution of the Dodecanese to the Revolution, but also in general the importance of our special homeland as part of Hellenism.
