     After more than two years of negotiations between the parties, a bilateral agreement was signed to sell natural gas from Israel to Jordan, and for the first time since the Arab Spring in 2011, Jordanian citizens were united again with a common goal, the cancellation of the agreement.
     Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, commenting on the agreement, described it as “very important” and stated that it not only gives a strong boost to the Israeli energy market, but also strengthens ties with Jordan. He did not fail to emphasize that Israel reaps geopolitical, economic and social benefits from the exploitation of its natural resources.
