Finally What is Turkey aiming for with the much-advertised exercise "Blue Homeland"? Are the concerns expressed that "something could happen" in the exercise, which is indeed the largest that the Turkish Armed Forces have ever carried out, justified or not?
Lieutenant General (retd) and member of the Board of Directors of ELISME Ioannis Baltzoi speaks to Militaire.gr , not only about this issue that will be of concern next week, but more generally about Turkey's position, the great difficulties and obstacles that Erdogan has to face.
The discussion with Mr. Baltzoi extends to the Balkans, where there is also great unrest. He explains what is happening in Albania but mainly gives an answer to the US insistence on closing the Skopje issue at all costs. The plans they have for the neighboring small state required their immediate accession to NATO.
