ELISME-SASSI: Completion and Documentation of the Workshop 'The Development of Primary and Secondary Production, Technology and Services in a National Security Environment'
Distinguished gentlemen and ladies, Dear friends, In a world that is changing very rapidly, the flow of information is overwhelming and acquires particular value and importance. The transitional period we are going through and the changing balances in the international economy are dragging along the policies and strategies of large and small states. Defense Economy, Technology and Logistics are a central pillar of Development. On a global scale, the Logistics pie is ~14% of global GDP. In Greece, the same pie is ~10% and there is room, due to its geographical location, to exceed 15%. In this context, EL.I.S.M.E. and SASI, utilizing their accumulated knowledge, skills, as well as their many years of international and internal experience, have co-organized seminars, workshops and conferences for the training and education of executives, with exceptional success (the comments of the participants are particularly flattering) - creating a 'Defense Economics and Logistics Reference Point' - both in the Greek and International Spaces.
Thus, we continued and co-organized, in Larissa, on 30/03/2019, with the hospitality of the Municipality of Larissa, under the auspices of the Chamber of Larissa and the support of the Larissa Club, the Conference 'The Development of Primary and Secondary Production, Technology & Services, in a National Security Environment.' closing the action of the topic with exceptional success, professionalism and documentation (which will be posted and made available on the internet in the coming days) creating a 'Defense Reference Point'.
We have raised the bar high, even at an international level, with our primary goal being to contribute to the creation of a creative, productive, positively transformed Greece, with remarkable development in the sectors of Industry, Defense, Technology, Logistics and Lifelong Education and Training.
We emphasized the following thematic axes: -Our National Defense & Security in the Context of Regional Developments All the suggestions started with the letter A -EXCELLENT-! One better than the other no matter where you start the circle! We brought together: (1) institutional, academic, military, local leadership and the market, and, (2) a multitude of reputable professors, distinguished and specialized officers of the Armed Forces, doctors, analysts and experienced senior executives of Industry and the Economy, who will present/answer/discuss around the above thematic axes, with: Private and Public Sector Executives, Executives of the Armed Forces/SA, as well as students and learners, as well as every active citizen. On the eve of the conference, a reception was held to introduce the speakers, coordinators, sponsors and the political authorities of Larissa, at the wonderful and historic club of 110 MP. At the conference, the General Coordinator and Project Manager, Anastasios Basaras, worked hard, prepared the entire conference and perfectly coordinated and organized all the necessary activities of the conference. It would be a great omission not to emphasize the great support and contribution of the Secretary General of SASI, Lieutenant General Kosmas Vouris. It would also be a great omission not to thank the ladies of the Ikaros School Alumni Club for their great and selfless contribution to the conference!
The conference closed with a wonderful excursion of the speakers with the wives of SASI and the coordinators to Meteora and after a wonderful tour of the Rossano Monastery, it was natural to end up in a tavern at the foot of Koziakas, in the village of Vytoumas for the relevant tsipouraki and wine tasting.
